having completed the academics, i feel much relieved now. now i can fully concentrate on my goal of clearing the competitive exams, the ones leading me to my goal of getting a job a desire.
Now the coaching will start, so nothing very different to look forward to, same as college--classes and all. but this will be more like the concentrated version of the academic classes(think concentrated acid, oh and im not into chemistry for the love of god! lolz). The schedules will be tight, each lecture will be important, and it will need high concentration levels from me too, lest i drift off into some alien land of imagination.
the only dampener here is that the classes will be held at a place which is quite far from my home, so i'll be travelling 1 hour to reach the place everyday, and then 1 hour in coming back. its easier for the ones who have taken a room on rent in that area. Thats not a choice for me, considering my limitations. gah!!!
nor do i have a zip zap zoom bike, which i can drive like a badass biker, cutting through the traffic and reaching the place in record time! heck let alone driving one, i didnt even sit/ride on a bike ever(i know, that should be registered as a world record of sorts). I dont exactly get hibbi jibbies of fear from rising one, just that i didnt get a chance. check that, i travel by car! LOLz
but yeah, this whole zipping past the traffic thing makes a bit envious of the guys who have a nice bike. well what ever!
so i am looking forward to get a headstart in my preparation from the coaching, it should be good.
also, less blogging from now on, i shall be married(figuratively of course!) to my books and notes from now on. will keep writing, but infrequently. i am not a blog-a-holic per se, and cant really imagine writing in everyday for that matter. but i like to write something that has been bubbling in my mind for a few days, that way i can keep my blog turning into some soap opera of sorts!
i run the blog, not the other way round, so chao for now blogy-buddy! haha

Eye of the Student
It is something similar to Darwin's theory of evolution. Survival of the fittest, as he said, leads to the natural selection of the most competitive organisms of a specie, or even species. So the student specie, tries hard to survive, in a chaotic world called "higher education". trying to survive is sometimes very difficult, as competition is pretty high, and resources pretty low(i wont even go there right now). lack of books in library is one such issue a student has to deal with. So we learn to grab the opportunity that comes to us with both hands!
like this one fine day, i was searching this really fine book on Taxation laws in our library. not very surprising that i could not find a copy of it in the stack hall, as all the copies were already taken(issued). i charted up and down the entire library to search for this baby, but no luck.
then i saw one copy of that book lying on a desk in the library. i was obviously thrilled to even get a glimpse of it!(mind you, i spotted it from 10metres, now i know India lost out on a real talent for target shooting :P)
so i was checking on it, thinking it must be an already taken copy. but when i opened it, i found that it had not been issued in anyone's name yet. now here came the issue of morals, of deviant tendencies(i almost started recalling the criminology classes, where identifying myself as a potentially deviant individual. now that was not sitting well with me). i looked here and there, clutching the book in my hands, as if it was some magical book of charms, almost hoping that the person who has kept it here will come and take it, before my deviant tandencies got the better of me.
then came my friend, and saw me holding the book, lost in a trance. he said "you found it na? then why not get it issued?". i said,"well, someone must have left it here, to come back and take it, its not right to just take it away like this". So he told me that if a person was so damn foolish to leave such a precious book here unattended, then he or she probably deserves this repercussion.
and so, i got that book issued in my name, and told myself that i am actually doing a good deed, of teaching a lesson to that naive student, who was nutty enough to leave the book there.
all's well that ends well, at least for it did :D.

The Royals won......sigh
well it took me some days to recover from the loss of MSD's team. Not to take anything away from Warne and his team, but i was supporting CSK. RR played really well, and CSK didnt play bad at all. It went down to last ball, so it was an excellent finale to the much hyped IPL tourney.

Its Warne vs MSD
It’s the finals of the inaugural IPL tourney. Many speculations were done before the start of the IPL, but cutting all that hay aside, the way RR have performed, can be only quipped as brilliant. The cheapest team of the IPL ends up at the top. What an anticlimax! Like a Bollywood film script, Warne’s boys have turned the tables upside down. A lot of credit should be given to Warne, for his out-of-the-box thinking and improvisations. But one thing did work to his advantage, unlike other teams, he was given a team which had few stars, which meant less rigidity. The problem that teams like MI faced, you can’t make Jayasuriya to bat down the order, he is an opener, same goes for Sachin, it may end up in a mess, as that is the role these batsmen have been playing for a long time, and they are probably the best in the business too. So experimentation in this area goes out of the window.
That is the problem which Warne did not encounter with his rookie team. Most of them are young, novice and need moulding. It can be said that Warne was given a fresh mound of clay, and he moulded it into a fine piece of cricket pottery with his genius.
As fir MSD, he is not in any way lagging behind Warne in terms of alternative thinking skills and experimenting. Both Warne and MSD are wily customers. Now I won’t go bragging about MSD, as I know if I start off, there’s no stopping. I might as well write a book on him ( hehe).
As for statistics, CSK have lost to RR both the times they met in their league matches. So RR do appear to have a psychological advantage over CSK. But as I said, such things don’t always work like this. It can in turn make RR complacent also. So far they haven’t been complacent, but it only takes one match to change that fact. With MSD as captain on the other side, there is hardly a margin for error here. He has a sharp eye, as does Warne.
So it can go either way. RR can lose their winning touch, CSK can bring a gold performance in crunch times.
As the cliché goes, the team that plays the best shall win.
Personally, I support MSD, so its CSK. I admire Warney, but cant go past MSD. :D
